mPortal adds support for BREW to its Mobile Solutions

Vienna, VA - mPortal Inc., a leading end-to-end wireless solutions provider for enterprises and carriers, announced today the support of QUALCOMM’s Binary Runtime Environment for Wireless™ (BREW™) platform within its Enterprise Everywhere™ mobile application platform. Enterprise Everywhere enables rapid development and deployment of mobile/wireless data applications, extending any back-end system to any mobile device.

BREW, a very thin applications environment for wireless devices, is emerging as a strong device and service delivery platform and is currently being deployed around the globe. Several carriers are supporting BREW in conjunction with Java™ 2 Micro Edition (J2ME™), an already popular platform for mobile device applications. “mPortal has been deeply involved in the development of J2ME applications, working with several large enterprises and carriers. BREW is a natural compliment to mPortal’s Enterprise Everywhere platform.
