CHALLENGE: Disney Mobile (MVNO) realized the importance of having the Disney experience on its handsets for subscribers who have an affinity for its brand. Disney’s goal was a world-class user experience, combined with high Data ARPU using its own branded content, as well as content from third party providers. Disney wanted all these elements incorporated on its portfolio of feature phones – including those with low-end chipsets. SOLUTION: mPortal implemented its SPRINGBOARD Smart Client and SPRINGBOARD CDM product to provide a compelling user experience that reflected the Disney brand and made ease of use and ease of discovery a reality, even on low-end handsets. mPortal also aggregated content from a wide range of content providers and implemented state-of-the-art billing mechanisms to provide several options for monetizing Disney’s content.
