Database Administrator

Experience Requirements:

    • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Engineering
    • 3.5 years of database administration experience with MySQL 5.0/5.1 and Oracle 10G
    • Strong understanding of database design, implementation, performance tuning, debugging, optimization, monitoring and replication to support enterprise grade Java applications
    • Strong understanding of Oracle RAC, Data Guard and Geo-redundancy capabilities
    • Strong experience with Linux (Redhat and CentOS) and Unix (Solaris)
    • Strong scripting ability in console usage (bash, crons, etc)
    • Able to work well in a team and within existing development standards
    • Work in a dynamic, fast-moving environment
    • General knowledge of hardware components and connectivity including disk I/O, CPU, networking, memory and switches
    • Good Oral and Written communication skill
    • Strong Interpersonal Skills
