Mobile Client Development Lead             

The Mobile Client Development Lead will be a member of the multi-location mPortal Product Development Team and/or the Product Implementation Team based at mPortal's location in Vienna, Virginia. The candidate will report to the Client-side Technologies Development Manager for mobile client application's development.

The Mobile Client Development Lead will architect the product and lead the design and development of the mPortal Smart Client product on Microsoft Windows Mobile based platforms. The successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery of mobile applications and will also be responsible for interacting with the customer and the handset manufacturer for handset integration.

The successful candidate will be self-motivated and proactive with high levels of creativity and initiative, keeping constantly abreast of new Microsoft Windows Mobile technologies and handset technologies in order to continually guide the direction of architecture solutions.

Job Description:

· Lead the development team and the regular interaction between
  the implementation
· Management of timelines and deliverables with the development
  team
· Interact with handset manufacturers and manage the effort of
  integrating mPortal products with the handset software.
· Debug and resolve issues that may come up working with the
  handset manufacturers.
· Continually learn the intricacies of the new releases of the Microsoft
  Windows Mobile Operating System and associated devices and
  adapting current procedures to utilize these new technologies.
· Write code for, test, implement, and debug applications.

Experience Requirements:

· BA/BS in Computer Science or related technical discipline.
· 2-4 years of relevant experience working with Microsoft based
  Wireless technology platforms is a must.
· Previous experience working with J2EE systems/Unix systems is a
  must. execution of business development processes including lead
  generation, pipeline management, account planning, strategy and
  development.
· Hands-on experience in the following areas:
      o C# programming language
      o VB .NET CE programming language
      o .NET Compact Framework 1.1 and 2.0
      o Visual Studio IDE
      o Microsoft SQL Server CE
· Proven experience writing code for hand-held devices running
  Windows Mobile or Palm OS.
· Exceptionally strong coding and debugging skills.
· Proven ability to research and solve complex technical problems.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills in standard
  American English.
